David will be exhibiting a range of works as part of Worcestershire Open Studios ART WEEK 2026.

Various works will be on display from Saturday 22 August until Monday 31 August 2026 (including Bank Holiday), 10.00 to 16.00 daily, 10.00 to 17.00 on weekends.

Following his most successful exhibition at the Worcester City Art Gallery earlier this year David has chosen to participate with Worcestershire Open Studios (together with a group of artists) at the Henry Sandon Hall, Royal Porcelain Works, Severn Street, Worcester, WR1 2NE, venue 60b.

This return to a fine, historic room (site of many previous exhibitions) provides not just a chance to present his customary collection of watercolours, oil paintings, reproduction prints and cards but, also, works in progress and an opportunity to discuss his techniques, an occasion to talk with visitors about his work processes. The large space allows for the possibility of displaying more than just finished works.

David will be in attendance every day of the ART WEEK.

We are pleased to announce David’s selection as Artist of the Month (March 2026) by The Arts Society Worcester.

The Arts Society Worcester is affiliated with the national Arts Society, bringing people together through a shared curiosity for the arts and our heritage. They offer a series of monthly lectures between September and June, provided by expert lecturers in all fields of the arts, as well as day trips, theatre outings and tours. Through their volunteer programmes, society members also have opportunities to become involved in the local community, support engagement with the arts and assist with a variety of local heritage projects.

New members are always welcome, and non-members may attend lectures on a pay-as-you-go basis, before deciding whether to join or not.

In 1978, whilst still in architectural practice, David held an exhibition of his work in Worcester City Art Gallery which was successful enough for him to consider painting full-time. In July 2025, in gratitude for this encouragement, he donated twenty watercolour drawings, one screen-print and two small etchings to the gallery’s permanent collection.

These works represent how David’s techniques have developed since 1978, and were exhibited at the newly refurbished City Gallery, Worcester, from January to May 2026. In association with the exhibition David delivered several talks at the Victoria Institute, discussing the works in the exhibition and the way that they were made.
