In 1978, whilst still in architectural practice, David held an exhibition of his work in Worcester City Art Gallery which was successful enough for him to consider painting full-time. In July 2025, in gratitude for this encouragement, he donated twenty watercolour drawings, one screen-print and two small etchings to the gallery’s permanent collection.

They represent how David’s work has developed since 1978, and will be exhibited at the newly refurbished City Gallery opening 11.00am to 12.00pm, Saturday 24th January 2026 and running until the end of May (normal gallery opening hours, free admission).

David will be exhibiting a range of works at part of Worcestershire Open Studios from Saturday 22 August until Monday 31 August 2026 (including Bank Holiday). Further details to be published here nearer to the event.
